Adam
Risbridger
On
a cold January morning in 1981, Adam Risbridger was born. Then he got
misplaced. Then they found him mixed in with the soiled sheets, and his
journey down the path of life began. He started performing at the age
of 6 when he signed up for a tap dancing class. Constant ridicule from
family and friends made him quickly give it up. Then it was off to the
wonderful world of acting where, at age 7, he landed the role of Winthrop
Paroo in the Curtain Call Players production of "The Music Man."
Having done a few plays in his day, Adam auditioned for the Arts York
program at Unionville High School. It was here he discovered his love
for comedy. He flirted with improv, stand-up and sketch comedy at age
16 but didn't consider it at a career until he's graduated from high school
in 2000.
He then discovered the Humber College School of Comedy. He auditioned
and got in, much to the surprise of all of those who had told him he was
about as funny as an old shoe. He now dabbles in all aspects of comedy
including stand-up, sketch, and now improv with the
world famous Canadian Improv Showcase. He is honored to have the opportunity
to work with such a talented cast, and hopes he can bring some energy
and insight to this already rock-solid ensemble.
Some of Adam's other hobbies include playing basketball, recording and
listening to music, playing guitar and writing biographies.
