The Canadian Improv Showcase
offers a wide variety of workshops for the corporate world. Utilizing
improvisation they are able to offer a completely customized and interactive
workshop. However, much like the art of improv itself, the sessions
are customized and highly tailored to the individual corporation’s
needs, so what is listed here is merely a starting point.
Stress Relief &
Team Building Programme:
This programme was created to allow co-workers to bond and share positive
experience. Participants get the opportunity to see a performance of
improv where they act as the audience and provide all the needed suggestions.
Following a break and quick Q & A session, the participants are
broken into groups (often sales teams, company divisions etc.) and are
taught the basics of how to perform improv themselves. The benefits
of improvisation are many, including improved:
• self confidence and self-esteem
• team work
• creative thinking & problem solving
• listening skills
• risk taking
• focus & concentration
• presentation & public speaking skills
• and greater leadership
After the participants have
had their crash course on improv, they perform in front of their peers
in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Through performing a simple
set of improv co-workers will get a chance to bond and learn a new way
to rely on one another while creating a lasting memory of a fun, controlled,
experience.
Holiday,
Meeting or Special Event Entertainment:
Completely customizable from start to finish, the Canadian Improv Showcase
will create an amazing show right before your very eyes basing all their
material on audience suggestions. The ability to customize such an event
is pivotal as it allows the client to control the direction of the content:
keeping the comedy clean like classic Vaudeville or being over-the-top
like today’s cutting edge comedy. It also allows the Canadian
Improv Showcase to offer their services for family centered events.
It should be mentioned here that CiS is the only group to offer a content
guarantee.
