Dana
Fradkin
Dana
discovered acting as a young adolescent when the hatred towards her of
other school kids drove her to Canterbury, the high school of Performing
Arts, at the other end of Ottawa. Knowing nothing of drama, she strolled
in with an eager mind and fell instantly in love. Although calculus has
always been her number 1 talent, sitting in front of a desk all day doing
long division just didn't get her blood boiling. So she committed herself
whole heartedly to acting and has never looked back.
Dana moved to Toronto 7 years ago, graduated from George Brown Theatre
School and has spent the last 4 years working in Toronto, the United States
and Europe. She has worked with
such companies as; the Second City, Mad Science Productions, Stage West
Dinner Theatre, Shrimp Magnet, Shakespeare in the Square, and The Renaissance
Festival.
Recently, Dana decided to forget this "classical theatre" thing
and ran away and joined the circus (literally). She spent 6 months living
on a Tallship performing circus political theatre with the Caravan Stage
Company and sailing throughout the American and European harbours.
Dana has loved returning to improvisation and is also currently working
on a show with her mother, Barbara Fradkin, the award winning murder mystery
writer. She spends a lot of her time prancing around trade shows as the
famous Korean Princess promoting the Korean culture and food. Kam sa mi
da (Thank you). This one's for you Dad!
