Golf Programme

Picture
The Canadian Improv Showcase has been offering customized, interactive comedy for fourteen years. They have offered their services to schools, community groups and corporations alike; now they are offering their skills to the world of golf.

It is common practice to have some sort of entertainment at the end of a golf tournament as part of the dinner festivities, but the Canadian Improv Showcase takes it to the next level. Utilizing their cast of professional acting talent, the group offers a variety of options to make the entertainment experience like no other!

First off, the Canadian Improv Showcase offers a totally hilarious, customized comedy show. The show is unscripted, guided by audience suggestions and is completely different every time. The show utilizes a high level of interaction, giving the audience a completely original performance every time. The show itself is similar to the long running TV series “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and includes Canada's best comedic talent.

But that’s not all the group has to offer. The Canadian Improv Showcase also offers ‘character entertainment’. In addition to the showcase during the dinner, the Canadian Improv Showcase can provide talented actors in character who would take part in the tournament, joining various groups and adding to the fun of the day. A variety of characters including ‘the flamboyant Scotsman’, 'the drinking Irishman' and ‘the Tiger Woods wannabe’ and anything else your imagination can come up with really! These actors stay in character throughout the day of golf, get to know the other participants only to vanish at the end of the round, then reappear during the performance only to use the great material they gathered during the round of golf in the performance. It makes for a fantastic practical joke like way of adding to the festivities. The performers can even join the others during the meal to keep the ruse going until the very end.

But that's not all! If you have a prize booth or putting contest, cast members can help run various activities and add to the days events. We even offer a duo of actors who would go around during the tournament and interview the participants on camera for the audience's viewing pleasure during the meal.

These forms of entertainment can be implemented for virtually any kind of tournament, just have an estimated size of the group in mind when contacting the group as it is a weighing factor in the price, along with location, etc. We are open to any and all ideas for such events, so let us know what you have in mind, no matter how crazy or outlandish!

Previous clients of our golf programme include the Q107 John Derringer Golf Classic in support of the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness and Gilda's Club of Simcoe Muskoka.
