PRESS RELEASE

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

For Immediate Release

March 26, 2008

Toronto: After tearing the house down back in February, the Canadian Improv Showcase is coming back to Bad Dog Theatre on Sunday March 30, 2008.

“Our first show was such a huge success we had to come back” said Creative Director Matthew R. Lawrence. “We had people coming up after the show asking when the next one would be, so the next day I started looking at dates.”

Although improv is no stranger to the Toronto entertainment scene, the Canadian Improv Showcase offers something a little different.

“We specialize in high brow entertainment. That doesn’t mean we don’t dip our toe into the toilet occasionally, but we always keep things on the up and up and let the audience fill in the blank. We’re kind of like the thinking man’s improv group” said Mr. Lawrence.

Not only that, but the Canadian Improv Showcase offer one of the most interactive shows available. Utilizing the short form format, the troupe (which just celebrated its 11th anniversary) plays on what makes Canada special while engaging the audience like no other.

And that’s not all! They’re on the cusp of something special: they are in pursuit of their 500th performance, a milestone they expect to reach this spring.

The Canadian Improv Showcase will be at Bad Dog Theatre, 138 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, this Sunday March 30th. The show starts promptly at 8:00 pm with doors opening at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10.00 and are available at the door.
