COMEDY IMPROV COMES TO KESWICK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                 September 2, 2003

The Canadian Improv Showcase, York Region’s Premier Improv Troupe, is coming to the Stephen Leacock Theatre in Keswick on Saturday September 13th, 2003.

With their original brand of comedy, they will wow audiences once again. They whimsically call the show “Whose Pine is it Anyway?” poking fun at their television counterpart – and adding a poignant Canadian twist.

“That’s what we’re all about,” exclaimed Matthew R. Lawrence, Creative Director and Producer of the group. “…improv comedy with a distinct Canadian flavour, like back-bacon, maple syrup or a good beer.”

This will be the group’s second show at the prestigious Stephen Leacock Theatre and they are very pleased to be back.

“Our last show was in February of 2001. We would of loved to of come back sooner but our schedule and the theatre’s never matched up. But, with us considering the theatre one of our home’s here in York Region, we are excited to return and hope to do so regularly” (according to Mr. Lawrence).

Improv comedy, for those of you who haven’t seen the Canadian Improv Showcase perform, is an interactive form of entertainment where the audience offer suggestions to form short scenes right before their very eyes. The show is hilarious and completely different every time.

The Canadian Improv Showcase would like to stress that this is a

FAMILY SHOW and all materials performed will be suitable for all ages.
