The current trend in comedy
does not favour live entertainment, so to keep the company alive Mr. Lawrence
focuses his group’s talents on the workshop market: offering a wide variety of
programmes for a variety of audiences. Schools are a big audience for the
Canadian Improv Showcase as they offer an introductory and a certificate
programme for elementary schools. Likewise, they offer an improv intensive as
well as musical improv and improv Shakespeare programmes for secondary schools.
But that’s not all! They
also offer workshops for the corporate world: team building, stress relief,
public speaking and special event entertainment.
