CANADIAN COMEDY NIGHT AT THE RIVOLI

TORONTO, Ontario: The Rivoli will be the hot spot for the best in Canadian comedy this Wednesday October 8th, 2003 as they hold the very first
Canadian Comedy Night!

This event will open with three of Canada’s top up-and-coming stand-up comedians (from the amazing www.comedygreenroom.com): Andrew Evans, Ally Coyote and Arie Kizel.

Following these amazing talents comes the headliners for the evening, Canadian’s Premier Improv Troupe, the Canadian Improv Showcase. Featuring cast members Byron Laviolette, Alan Harrington, Diandra Lee, Adrianne Marcucci, Pete Suddard, musician Shelton Deverall and host and M.C. of the evening Matthew R. Lawrence.

The Canadian Improv Showcase performs game-style comedy improv with a Canadian twist. They take the short scene format of improvisation made popular by the long running TV show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” and create their own niche with creating their own material, playing on Canadian stereotypes and utilizing audience interaction like no other.

The Rivoli is located at 334 Queens Street West in down town Toronto. The hilarious evening of comedy starts at 8:00 pm, doors open at 7:00 pm.

Tickets are only $5.00 and are available at the door.
