CANADIAN COMEDY NIGHT AT THE RIVOLI
TORONTO, Ontario: The Rivoli will be the hot spot for the best in
Canadian comedy this Wednesday October 8th, 2003 as they hold the
very first
Canadian Comedy Night!
This event will open with three
of Canada’s top up-and-coming stand-up comedians (from the amazing
www.comedygreenroom.com): Andrew Evans, Ally Coyote and Arie Kizel.
Following these amazing talents comes the headliners for the evening,
Canadian’s Premier Improv Troupe, the Canadian Improv Showcase. Featuring cast
members Byron Laviolette, Alan Harrington, Diandra Lee, Adrianne Marcucci, Pete
Suddard, musician Shelton Deverall and host and M.C. of the evening Matthew R.
Lawrence.
The Canadian Improv Showcase performs game-style comedy improv with a Canadian
twist. They take the short scene format of improvisation made popular by the
long running TV show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” and create their own niche with
creating their own material, playing on Canadian stereotypes and utilizing
audience interaction like no other.
The Rivoli is located at 334 Queens Street West in down town Toronto. The
hilarious evening of comedy starts at 8:00 pm, doors open at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are only $5.00 and are available at the door.
