Aurora, Ontario:

In this day and age nothing seems universal, nothing that is but laughter. And that is the principal that is sending “York Region’s Premier Improv Troupe” to Singapore to represent Canada in a cultural exchange.

The Canadian Improv Showcase will be traveling to Singapore this month to perform their hilarious form of interactive comedy at Singapore’s Art House Theatre: a venue that was once the countries Parliament building. The actual stage area is the former House of Commons and patrons will be paying between of $50 - $100 to see this amazing group.

The Canadian Improv Showcase is a professional touring improv troupe that specializes in comedy with a Canadian twist and they are very excited to be taking part in this amazing opportunity.

“It’s really a dream come true for us all” expressed the troupe’s leader Matthew R. Lawrence. “It’s what touring is all about: different audiences, different experiences and the opportunity to entertain as many people as possible.”

Traveling to Singapore with Mr. Lawrence are long time members Byron Laviolette, Alan Harrington and Diandra Lee, along with Adam Risbridger and one of the newest members of the group Allison Buck.

The talented performers will be performing 7 shows over 8 days in Singapore and will do their best to take in all the culture that Singapore is known for.
