Adrianne
Marcucci
Ever
since Adrianne was just a tiny little thing, she knew she wanted to perform.
She began gymnastics at the age of 4, but had to quit when she constantly
had her bum pinched by a girl in her class! That didn't discourage her
for long though (and lately she encourages that) and she began dance lessons
when she was 5.
Adrianne was a very active child participating in a variety of activities
including acrobatics, ballet, tap and jazz until she hit 14. At that age
she encountered a nasty bout of stage fright and decided to move onto
other things. (The costumes she was provided at the time weren't exactly
flattering either.)
Adrianne had tried to join her school choir in grade three, but was told
no because she couldn't stay in tune! She tried singing again later on,
and began lessons at the age of 16.
She has since improved. Her amazing singing voice has provided her with
the opportunity to travel all over Italy with the Mendelssohn Youth Choir
and Palestrina Chamber Chorus (with whom she was a soloist). She has also
performed on cruise ships all around the world.
Adrianne learnt the skill of acting when she had to pretend to be friendly
to 'not so nice' ship passengers! Well, maybe The Actor's Network classes
helped as well, and Sheridan College's Music Theatre Performance programme
didn't hurt either. This improv thing is fairly new to Adrianne. Perhaps
Matthew saw how hard she tried to impress, felt sorry for her, and
gave her a shot. CIS gives her the chance to act like a sheep, which she
greatly appreciates!
Director's Note: I cast Adrianne in the Canadian Improv Showcase because
of her overwhelming talent and giving nature. She has amazing singing
ability and is a joy to work with. She is a good listener, a bright bubbly
person who always keeps us on our toes.
Adrianne was welcomed into the group with open arms.
